To demonstrate contempt for, as in a rule of convention (v)
Gabby and her mom were in the kitchen
and Gabby's mom said, "Girls are supposed to
play the flute, not the drums."
So Gabby took her flute out
and put it together
and then grabbed a pan
and hit her flute against the pan
with a rhythm anyone would clap to.
